Food to Tame the Savage Beasts

In true Louisiana fashion, this weekend is sure to be absolutely insane. Mardi Gras parades on Saturday, Super Bowl on Sunday…it will be a wonder if anyone goes to work next Monday. While I may have to take a pass on the Mardi Gras parade, the Super Bowl party is inevitable.

So, now, I have a week to come up with a tasty spread for our shin-dig. Our rowdy crowd expects good food, and lots of it. Last weekend, for the play-offs, I went kinda light on the food. Just some Corn Dip:

And I made some Chicken Fajita Chowder with Buttermilk Cornbread:


For Superbowl, we usually like to have a ton of snacks, dips and other completly appropriate items for endless grazing and drinking. I always like to add something new into the mix, so stay tuned to find our what recipes will get the test-drive for our “Who Dat?” throwdown.
